About the Campaign

Every year, the monsoons devastate Assam. However, the region is currently being hit by floods and landslides caused by extremely heavy pre-monsoon rainfall.

Over 37 lakh people across 4,462 villages have been affected by the flood and landslides in 30 districts of Assam. Nearly 1.5 lakh people have been forced to leave their homes, and 73 have been reported dead. Railways, roads, and bridges have been damaged due to landslides. Houses and other buildings have been submerged and many essential goods and commodities lost. The lives of children, elders and other vulnerable groups have been adversely affected.

Amidst the crisis, Smile Foundation has taken the initiative to provide dry rations, sanitation kits, hygiene and essential kits to those affected and in need. Support us in helping these children and families survive and regain their livelihood.
